Google Hangouts...What is it really?

     Hangouts 7.0, the app now pops up a dialog box suggesting that you stop using Hangouts for SMS and switch to Android’s standalone SMS client Messenger. Hangouts had a similar message when it first integrated SMS, telling users to switch to Hangouts from they currently using. Google can’t remove SMS from Hangouts entirely, because Project Fi users rely on it for messaging.  Google needs to figure out what it wants Hangouts to be and go with it.  Google flip flop action with Hangiuts may cause users to abanded. Hangouts altogether. Bottom line get together before users search for alternatives
